Joe Pichler - Motorcycle Travel Lecture South America

Let Joe Pichler whisk you away to South America on Saturday, November 14. Starting at 6:00 p.m., he’ll take the stage at the RC16 Arena in the KTM Museum to share stories about his journey through South America with his wife Renate on their KTM 890 Adventure R.

Starting in Santiago, Chile, their journey takes them over icy Andean passes and through the endless expanse of the Atacama Desert. They cross the Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat, and follow adventurous trails all the way to the remote regions of Peru. At an altitude of over 5,000 meters, they finally reach the source of the Amazon River.

But now the adventure really begins: Joe sets off alone through the toughest stretch of the journey. Muddy jungle trails, tropical heat, and unpredictable conditions lead him deep into the Amazon region, into Brazil. In Manaus, Joe and Renate meet up again—and continue their journey together toward Venezuela.

There, another highlight awaits: Mt. Roraima. At 2,810 meters, the mysterious table mountain rises majestically above the landscape. And at Salto Ángel, they experience one of South America’s most spectacular sights—the world’s highest waterfall.

Four months, 14,262 kilometers, and countless adventures later, they reach Bogotá, Colombia, the destination of their journey.

A journey through breathtaking landscapes, across extreme trails, and to people and places that will remain in their memories forever.
